Rules and terms

The canvas

• Any business can claim a tile: a neighbourhood boutique, a single restaurant, or a national chain of hotels, gyms or hospitals. A website, Instagram page or Google Maps listing is enough.
• There is one canvas of 160 tiles for the whole world. It resets every day at midnight UTC, and each day's canvas is kept in the archive.
• Prices are set in US dollars and shown in your own currency. At checkout you pay in your own currency; the converted amount can differ slightly because of exchange rates.
• An empty tile on the bottom row costs $3. Each row up adds $1.
• To take a tile someone holds, the price goes up by 10%, and at least one step.
• Win-back credit: if you held a tile earlier today and lost it, half of what you already paid for it comes off your next bid for it.
• While you are paying, the tile is held for you for 10 minutes. You can hold up to 3 tiles at once. New claims close at 23:50 UTC.
• If someone took the tile before your payment finished, or the day ended, you are refunded in full automatically.
• Click counts are unique visitors per tile per day, with obvious bots filtered out.

Canvas Brands

• Only brands checked by a person can book. We may ask for proof of business.
• Brand cards and drops are fixed price. The #1 spotlight and category top 3 are auctions for future days that close at 23:50 local time the night before.
• If a higher bid displaces yours before bidding closes, you are refunded in full automatically.
• Real estate placements must show a valid RERA registration number. Claims must follow the ASCI code and local advertising law.
• Drops (giveaways) must be free to enter. The brand delivers the prize. Entrants' emails are shared with the brand only if they agree.
• Views and clicks are unique visitors per day, with obvious bots filtered out.
• All placements are paid and marked as featured; links are marked sponsored.

Not allowed anywhere

• Adult content, gambling or betting, weapons, drugs, alcohol and tobacco, scams, phishing, malware or hate.
• Chat-group invites and link shorteners — link to your real website.
• Pretending to be another person or company, or content attacking a real person.

We remove content that breaks these rules. Payments for removed content are not refunded unless we removed it in error.

Refunds

Refunds happen automatically in the cases above and go back to the card or account you paid with, usually within 5 to 10 working days. Once your tile has been live on the wall, the payment isn't refundable, because the spot was yours for that time.
